Coping up with a break up can not only drain you emotionally but also physically. It is a phase when you need to be with loved ones and people who care about you. Forget your ex and trying to face life all over again requires a lot of inner strength and help from people around you. If you’re lucky and have such people around you, it should not take you too much time to start the journey of healing. Be Around Your Loved Ones
After your break up, it’s important not to be alone. Being alone will only bring back thoughts of your ex and get you sad. Call up your old friends whom you’ve neglected all this while due to spending every moment possible with your ex. It’s time to say your apologies and get them back as they are the ones who are going to be your company now.
Throw Away Your Ex’s Stuff
Clean up your house and stack away all the old memories like love notes, cards, gifts, cards, CD’s etc that will remind you of your ex. Since he’s no more a part of your life none of his things need to be either. Burn away the paper stuff and throw away the other things in the garbage or give them away.
Don’t Be Idle
Keep yourself busy throughout the day, so that your mind does not get a chance to wander to thoughts of your ex. Concentrate on your work and make that extra effort in your work place, you really don’t know who’s watching you, and you could possibly win brownies for working so hard.
Eat Healthy Food
Eat good food and don’t skip meals, as when you skip meals you feel more depressed and low. Munch on some healthy salads and your favorite sandwich and juices. It is important not to eat to fill yourself up but to have a meal. Treat yourself for working so hard at work and trying to forget your ex.
Do a New Thing
Add a new activity into your schedule. If you have not been exercising lately, go join an aerobics class or hit the gym and start working on your body and you will come out feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
Add Some Music to Your Life
Listen to your favorite music, how long has it been since you’ve danced by yourself letting your hair loose. Call some friends over or go to a good night club and dance till you drop, tire your body as much that once you reach home all you want to do is to hit the bed and have a sound sleep.
Keep your Distractions at Bay
Don’t look at your cell phone constantly hoping that he will call, try to keep your phone away from you and resist the urge to know what he is doing. Trying to talk to him or know about him will only spoil your day as will hinder your fight to forget your ex.
